Has anyone seen that BBC show ‘Fake or Fortune’, with Journalist Fiona Bruce and Art dealer Philip Mould?? – If you haven’t then you should give it a watch!- It’s a highly addictive art ‘detective’ show series, where they use old school, journalistic, due diligence and sophisticated scientific techniques, to find and verify lost artworks…I’ve been watching this show for years and it has been very useful within my artwork as I’ve learnt what techniques they use to determine if a painting is a genuine or a fake…And I’ve incorporated what I’ve learned, in my work, to make sure that long after I am dead…People will know what a genuine Reiner Ebert painting is.
…Before I left Switzerland in 2019, I found this big, thick, blank, white paged book in the ‘trodler-markt’ and I fell in love with it instantly!- I knew that it would make a perfect ledger for recording my work.(Got the idea from the show) …And it will ensure that people who buy my paintings will have confidence that there is an official record of all my work and what they have purchased. ……Any artworks that are not recorded in this book, Should not be considered my work!
